Dear friends,
It is hard for me to believe that over four years have slid by since we began meeting here to see what is Front and Center at the Center for Positive Outcomes. It has been my passion and pleasure to share my thoughts with you, and to hear what has been on your hearts and minds as well. Please know that I treasure each of you and all you have brought to my life, learning, and work. This will be the final issue of the Front and Center Newsletter.
I am experiencing some health issues that have required a couple of minor surgeries in as many weeks. Nothing terribly serious - but enough to prompt some real prayer and introspection about what is most important for me to be doing. I will be taking the summer months to get quiet and listen and to focus on getting clear, light, fit, and strong. There is an internal as well as external de-clutter underway...
I have written before about one of my most treasured possessions; a rock given to me by a friend and past business partner that says Listen...and be led. That is my prayer and my encouragement for you. A few weeks ago, as I sat working in my office, I clearly heard God tell me to clean off a shelf in my bookcase. It has been empty since; a clear reminder that change is coming, is in fact, here now. I don't know what will fill it, but I am excited to watch it unfold in this new season of my life and career.
I have also written to you of the many years I struggled with a future focus - always waiting for some event or goal to show up, THEN life would really get going and be what I desired. I urge you, with all my heart, to cease striving and pushing and waiting! Stay centered in this moment. Enjoy the blessings and challenges of this day. The ditty, "Life is what happens while you're making other plans" is true. Seize hold of THIS day, THIS time. You already have so many resources and so much to offer. Listen...and be led. Use what you already have firmly in your hand. God will supply the rest. Just step out and determine to step up. You are being called to come up higher and use your amazing and unique gifts!
